WTT-Expo: Industrial Heating and Cooling Technology Focuses on Energy Efficiency
Karlsruhe, 9 June 2016 – The topic of energy efficiency has played an important role in commerce and politics for many years. The switch to regenerative energies, rising energy prices, and progressively more restrictive legal regulations to protect the environment are prompting businesses to devote intensive thought to their energy consumption. The willingness to invest in energy-efficient solutions continues to grow.
During the two days of the WTT-Expo, everything revolved around industrial heating and cooling technology, and thus also around the current theme of energy efficiency. Over 1,000 experts came to the fair in Karlsruhe on 1 and 2 June to learn about innovative products, methods and systems from more than 120 exhibitors from twelve countries, including China, Italy, Serbia, Finland and the USA. Numerous key players such as Bitzer Kühlmaschinenbau, Fragol, Kelvion and Lauterbach Verfahrenstechnik took advantage of this trade show to present themselves and their products. “With the WTT-Expo, we have created a platform for experts who are involved in all aspects of energy efficiency”, said Britta Wirtz, managing director of the Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress-GmbH. “An international business atmosphere characterised this sixth edition of the trade show.”
An important part of the trade fair was the area for industrial cooling technology, which was designed in collaboration with the Verband Deutscher Kälte-Klima-Fachbetriebe (VDKF e.V.). “The WTT-Expo is always an important date on our association’s calendar”, said Wolfgang Zaremski, president of the VDKF e.V. “Our members look forward to this fair, where they can meet contact people from the industry and the trade, learn about special problems and create promising solutions.”
A warm reception for the framework programme
A special role in this context is also played by the framework programme, which featured high-carat participants and was very warmly received on both days of the trade fair. The themes of the specialized fair were elucidated from various viewpoints by the lecturers, who focused their remarks on special possibilities for boosting energy efficiency. The themes discussed included solutions for process heat exchangers, international climate policy in 2016, and associated challenges and opportunities for cooling technology.
Exhibitors were convinced by the WTT-Expo
The exhibitors at the WTT-Expo expressed their satisfaction with the fair. They appreciate and value the WTT-Expo as a platform for this branch of industry and they especially praised the high quality and internationality of the specialised visitors. “Visitors came to us with specific questions about our products, so we were able to conduct very high-quality discussions”, says Ingo Chabrowski from korinexan. “We were at the WTT-Expo for the second time and it exceeded our expectations. I think it’s good that this specialised trade fair is concentrated into two days’ time. The percentage of international visitors is very high”, said Steve Parton, CEO of ROPA STAHL. This aspect was also emphasized by René Schuker, CEO of POLYSOUDE, who said, “We’re very satisfied with the trade fair. We conducted many discussions with interested parties, many of whom had come to Karlsruhe from abroad.”
The WTT-Expo has long since established itself for veteran exhibitors such as Fragol. Ludger Hunkemöller from Fragol has been present as an exhibitor at the WTT-Expo ever since the beginning. “We’re here for the sixth time and our presentation at the trade fair definitely paid off for us again. We use this fair as an opportunity to make new contacts and to cultivate our network.” Bertram Arb from Wieland was likewise very satisfied with this year’s fair: “We took advantage of this forum to make ourselves better known in the industry. The fair is ideal for this purpose. In the course of time, it has developed into a fixed meeting point for this branch of industry.”
